Yassmine Hammamet

The calm, green side of the Tunisian Cap Bon: a marina village, long sand beaches and a medina, thirty minutes from two international airports.

Yassmine Hammamet is the modern seaside quarter of Hammamet, laid out around a yacht marina and a wide bay of fine sand on the Gulf of Hammamet. It grew out of the old fishing town whose 15th century kasbah still stands over the beach, and it keeps the same rhythm: whitewashed walls, blue shutters, jasmine hedges and citrus gardens.

It is the part of Tunisia Europeans have been travelling to for decades, and it works just as well for a long winter stay as for a summer month. Average winter days stay around 17 °C, summers are dry, and the sea is warm from May to October.
